Watched Fool Me Once series on Netflix without knowing it is based on a novel by Harlan Coben. Thriller is an interesting watch. So checked the writer and found out about Harlan Coben. Thanks to you may also like AI (need to bring in AI somewhere to sound I am also up to date on tech), found out Netflix is flooded with series based on Harlan Coben novels. Hasn’t read any of his books. Based on Fool Me Once experience, decided to give other series a try. Landed on Safe. Safe is really good with its twists and thrills. Then continued with The Stranger. Stay Close followed. Ran through few other series, Missing You, Caught, Just One Look, and Hold Tight. Similar to any other thriller writers, structure became repetitive, and twists got predictable. Climax closure with twist and close-up shot comes across as forced by habit 😀 There is enough pulp to keep us hooked though – even with plot holes and coincidences. Good thing is these are all limited series. No seasons!! My rating of series I watched so far:
Safe – 7+
The Stranger – 7+
Stay Close – 7
Fool Me Once – 6.5+
Caught – 6+
Hold Tight – 6+
Just One Look – 6
Missing You – 5.5+
For now, taking a break from Harlan Coben!! Need to go through detox 😃
